Night Out Against Crime

This week, Biloxi and Gulfport will join communities all across the country for the 18th annual National Night Out Against Crime. Hundreds of people turned out in Biloxi last year for the event. This year, the two cities will provide law enforcement demonstrations as well as other activities for families.

The event is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strenghten neighborhood spirit. Police also want to send a message to criminals that communities are fighting back. National Night Out Against Crime is Tuesday. In Gulfport, activities run from six to eight-thirty at Prime Outlets. In Biloxi, things get kicked off at five and run until eight at the community center on Howard Avenue.
