Cruise Ship Program Questioned

Arizona Senator John McCain is expressing some concerns about the cruise ship work being done at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. McCain sent President Bush a letter that says the cruise ship project is in quote, "serious trouble."

He continues saying construction on the two vessels is over budget and behind schedule, and that in the long run, this may hurt taxpayers because the project is being financed through a federal government loan program.

A spokesman from Ingalls parent company, Northrop-Grumman, says talks between the shipyard and the cruise ship company are ongoing.
