Local Teen's Death Blamed On Cold Weather

The weekend death of an Ocean Springs teenager is being blamed on the cold weather. Jackson County coroner Vicki Broadus says 19-year-old Nathan Richards died of hypothermia. His body was found Saturday morning about seven outside of a home on Holcomb Avenue.

Broadus says the teen was last seen Friday night building a bonfire outside the house. There's no word on why Richards was at the home, which had been heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
