Harrison County librarians are doing whatever they can to make sure people can keep checking out library books. But it hasn't been easy.
The storm gutted three libraries in the Harrison County system (click here for pictures). And it forced the county to cut the library system's monthly budget in half.
Librarians are now working fewer hours to make up for the budget shortfall.
"The bottom line is we try to keep everybody working that wants to stay on with the system. And we all take a reduction of one day a week's pay to be able to do that. Otherwise, I would have to lay people off at this point," Library Director Robert Lipscomb said.
