The vice president of a management company that oversees the Edgewood Manor Apartments said they will meet with insurance adjusters Wednesday to try to help the tenants.
On Monday, WLOX talked to residents who are upset that repairs haven't been made to their badly damaged apartments. They're also afraid they're going to be kicked out.
Bill Mays of Southland Management in Jackson says many of the apartments must be gutted and contractors say they can't do the work with people living in them.
"The people have endured hardship and many live in primitive conditions. No one wants to cause more hardship on them. I want to help them as much as possible," Mays told WLOX in a written statement.
