D'Iberville police took a man in custody after he reportedly carried a knife and threatened others.

According to Police Chief Wayne Payne, a resident called police about someone inside their shed, yelling and threatening people.

When police arrived to the home on Fournier Ave., Payne said the man began threatening officers. After trying to talk the man into dropping the knife, Payne said an officer used a non-lethal weapon known as a bean bag round to subdue the man.

Payne said the man appeared to "be on something" and is now in custody. No one else was injured.
