Dunston Checks In

The city of Long Beach's new police chief says he will bring radical change to that city. This was Mark Dunston's first day on the job. At an early afternoon news conference, Dunston said he will immediately start a program he calls "ALL-COPS". That stands for, Alliance of Community Oriented Problem Solving.

Within 60 days the new chief plans to do away with both the patrol and detective divisions, he will also divide the city into sections, with someone from the police department to be in command of each section. Dunston also plans on hearing what the public thinks about his new ideas.
