BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - More than a year after a horrifying train and bus collision in Biloxi, the National Transportation Safety Board announced a board meeting has been scheduled for August 7 to determine the probable cause of the crash that left four passengers dead.
The announcement came Tuesday, but the accident happened on March 7.
The charter bus was headed north when witnesses said it appeared to get stuck on the tracks at Main Street in Biloxi. The passengers started to exit when a CSX train headed east hit the bus broadside, according to witnesses.
Thirty-five people were taken to hospitals in Biloxi, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula. Fifty passengers were on the bus.
