D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Four juveniles were taken into custody after an early morning convenience store robbery in D'Iberville turned into a shooting, a police chase and a K9 search through the woods.
The store owner fired shots at the suspects and hit one of them in the stomach. That suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The remaining three, identified as juveniles between 14 and 16 years old, were taken into custody and will spend time in the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center.
The car used during the robbery was found to be stolen from the City of Hattiesburg.
Officials report four suspects tried to rob the Popp's Lamey Convenience Store around 6 a.m.
Investigators said the suspects then took off in a car and ended near the Biloxi High School softball fields on Brodie Road.
Some ran into the woods behind the field. D'Iberville police caught three of the suspects and Biloxi caught the fourth near Michelle Drive.
