SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - If you're heading out for Scrapin the Coast this weekend, you can expect a typical South Mississippi summer day.
Despite temperatures in the low 90s, the heat index values could put much of the Gulf Coast into the triple digits. Bringing an umbrella may also be a good idea for any outdoor Scrapin events. Stray afternoon storms are possible, however, they aren't expected to be widespread.
Saturday night, expect lows in the upper 70s with south-to-southwest winds blowing between 5 and 15 miles per hour.
