JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A judge says Elizabeth Barhanovich will remain in jail indefinitely. She's the mom accused of leaving her 10-month-old son Kash in a hot car. An autopsy indicated the infant died June 14 in Vancleave from hyperthermia.

Wednesday morning, the judge set Barhanovich's bond at $50,000 but put a hold on her due to a violation of probation and parole from a previous 7-year burglary sentence in Harrison County. After appearing in court, Mississippi Department of Corrections officer picked Barhonovich up to take her to the Harrison County Jail from that violation.

Barhanovich is charged with second-degree murder. Wednesday was her initial appearance in court on that murder charge. Jackson County deputies arrested her Tuesday after receiving the autopsy report.
