Down two games to none, New Orleans had to get this one against Golden State or risk being swept in four straight games. The Pelicans, with their backs against  the wall, came out swinging and delivered a series of knockout punches in their 119-100, game three win.

Both teams talked about the importance of getting off to a fast start, but only the Pelicans followed through on that. Jumping out to a 13 points first quarter lead and never looking back. The Pels six-point halftime lead ballooned to 17 by the end of the third quarter.

Anthony Davis shook off a slow start to lead all scorers with 33 points. But, he wasn't the only one getting buckets. Jrue Holiday had 21, Nikola Mirotic poured in 16 and former Warrior Ian Clark kept it going off the bench with 21.

But pulling the strings was Rajon Rondo. Only four points from the veteran point guard. But, the 21 assists he dished out were a career high, and he also pulled down 10 rebounds.

The win means there will be at least a game five in this series. But it could be more if the Pelicans can even the series with another win on Sunday.
