Former Jackson County Chancery Clerk Requests Another Appeal

The attorney for former Jackson County Chancery Clerk Lynn Presley says he will ask the state supreme court to reconsider Presley's appeal. Last week, the high court denied Presley's argument that state prosecutors reneged on a plea agreement they made with Presley. The justices agreed with prosecutors that Presley had not fully cooperated with their investigation into the embezzlement of county funds.

Presley is serving ten years on embezzlement charges. Attorney Tom Payne says he will ask for another hearing and will ask the court for clarification on some of the issues the judges raised in their ruling.
