CBS NEWS -- One couple is still going strong after more than eight decades years of marriage.

John and Ann Betar just celebrated their 85th wedding anniversary in Connecticut, a few miles from where they first met.

The two met in 1932 at ages 21 and 17 and eloped just days later.

John is now 106 years old, and Ann is 102. The couple has five children, 15 grandchildren and more than a dozen great-grandchildren.

The Betars fall just short of the world record for longest marriage (current record: 86 years, 9 months, and 16 days). However, John and Ann's love shows no signs of slowing down.
