Officials Bust Teen With Drugs For "Back To School Party"

A 15-year-old with enough ecstasy and pot to share was among two dozen people arrested in a drug crackdown in Harrison County this week.

Sheriff George Payne released details of the operation that took place on Thursday with the Bureau of Narcotics as well as the Highway Patrol and Gulfport Police.

The sheriff says the teen was found with 60 tablets of ecstasy and a bunch of marijuana cigarettes. The 15-year-old said they were destined for a "Back to School party" in D'Iberville this weekend.

Payne says more than 100 officers from various agencies spent six hours targeting high crime and drug areas. In addition to cocaine, meth and pot busts, several people were arrested on DUI charges and other traffic violations.
