Nobles Out Of Jail

Former Mississippi College president Lewis Nobles is home from prison. Nobles was convicted of stealing nearly three million dollars from the Baptist college institution. After Nobles pleaded guilty in 1996 to mail fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering, he was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison.

Court documents show that Nobles funneled college funds through secret bank accounts, and used money to purchase lavish gifts for women, friends, and himself. The 75 year old Noble says it's good to be home. But he declined further comment.
