Work is moving forward at the old Wal-Mart building on Hwy. 90 in Ocean Springs, transforming it into the city's newest industry.
Cingular Wireless announced plans in April to open a customer care center in the building. Crews are gutting the building to prepare it for office space. The company will bring 600 service representatives and 100 management jobs to the area. The payroll is expected to be about $21 million.
Cingular representatives say the center should open by the start of September.
