Democratic candidate Frank Lynn won Moss Point's mayoral race by a wide margin.
Lynn received 76 percent of the vote. Independent candidate Archie Alford won 14 percent and independent Dwight Ray received 10 percent.
Current Moss Point Mayor Louis Jackson lost in the primary election.
After winning the election, Mayor-Elect Lynn promised voters that he would work to bring improvements to the area.
"I really appreciate the people of Moss Point," he said. "They really came out and supported me. And what they where saying is that we need a change in Moss Point, and you're going to get a change. We're going to make things happen in Moss Point that's never happened before."
