OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - The famous Peter Anderson festival is being honored once again. The annual event in downtown Ocean Springs has been named one of the Southeast Tourism Society's top 20 events.
The two-day festival bears the name of famed Ocean Springs potter Peter Anderson. It draws artists from around the region, along with art lovers.
Always held the first weekend of November, the festival continues to grow, bringing in 150,000 visitors to the city.
The Ocean Springs Chamber credits the festival with making a $23 million economic impact on the coast.
The 39th Peter Anderson Festival is Nov. 4-5.
