JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County deputies have arrested two men and two teens in connection with an overnight string of auto burglaries in the county and D’Iberville.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said 18 vehicles were burglarized between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. Monday.

So far, investigators have recovered $2,000 in cash, makeup, and ID and credit cards.

Ezell said John Morris Lee III and Christopher Kirkland, of Moss Point, are facing multiple counts of auto burglary. The 16 and 17-year-old suspects have not been identified. Lee is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Ezell said he was also wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Charges against a third suspect in the case have been dropped, Ezell said. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
