HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

One person is in custody after a chase through Gulfport and parts of Harrison County.

It’s unclear why officers were chasing the suspect, but Sgt. Joshua Bromen, with the Gulfport Police Department, said the chase ended near the Menge Ave. exit of I-10. Harrison County deputies assisted in the chase.

A WLOX News Now viewer sent us video of the suspect leading Gulfport officers west on Dedeaux Rd. and then south on Three Rivers Rd. The video shows an officer deploying spike strips, but the suspect was able to avoid them.

Bromen said no officers were injured in the chase.
