MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - It's a program with a catchy title: Takin' it to the Streets. And that's exactly what the superintendent of Moss Point schools is doing.
Thursday, Dr. Shannon Vincent met with about 20 school stakeholders at the Moss Point Riverfront Community Center.
This is the second of four public gatherings the superintendent is hosting. She feels it's important to connect with parents and others who are interested in school operations.
Vincent also said it's critical to have input from those people to make the school system even better.
During her presentation, the superintendent talked about the progress the Moss Point school system has made in the past two years, including decreasing the dropout rate and increasing the graduation rate.
Also joining her for Thursday's gathering was the interim high school football coach and the principal of a Moss Point middle school.
