PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Pascagoula Police say they're interviewing a possible suspect in Monday night's shooting at Azalea Creek Apartments on Eden St.

The victim is recovering, and doing well. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Witnesses said it all started around 8pm when a fight broke out between two people. Gunfire was exchanged and one man was hit in the hand and thigh.

The victim made his way to the Willow Creek Apartment complex, where the authorities were called. He was later taken to the hospital for his injuries.

So far, no one has been charged in connection with the shooting. But in addition to narrowing in on a suspect, investigators also talked to several witnesses Tuesday who were initially reluctant to come forward.

There's no word on a possible motive or what sparked the initial fight.
