GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Fire investigators are working to figure out what sparked a blaze at a Gulfport home early Tuesday morning.

Black smoke filled the air as flames shot through the roof of a home on 32nd Street around 3 a.m. We're told a neighbor spotted the fire and quickly called for help. That's when crews from three different fire stations showed up.

"When I went to my window, I saw just the corner so I immediately woke my partner up and we ran outside and I called 911," said Alyssa Edwards. "Just in panic mode but it started from the corner of the house and went from there."

Fire officials said no one was inside the house at the time of the fire.

We're working to get more information on this developing story.
