GULF OF MEXICO (WLOX) -

The Hurricane Hunters are heading to Invest 93-L, a system that we have been tracking since last week. 93-L was located in the Gulf of Mexico, north of the Yucatan Peninsula, on Monday afternoon.

There have been a lot of questions on where this system may go as we move through the next 48 hours, but as the Hurricane Hunters fly the system, they will gather more information that will help us understand more about how it will intensify and where it will go.

FIRST ALERT: Chance for heavy tropical flooding rain this week

Over the next few hours, the Hurricane Hunters will send back information, and we will be sure to share that information with you tonight on WLOX News Now at 4, 5, 6, 630, and 10 as well as the latest forecast on the system and how it will affect us here in South Mississippi.
