Police arrest teen wanted in Gulfport shooting

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A teen wanted for allegedly shooting at a home during an argument was arrested Friday evening. 

Seventeen-year-old Ladarious Jammal Thompson was wanted on a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling. 

According to the Gulfport Police Department, the shooting stemmed from an argument between a group of males and females on Fournier Avenue. Thompson allegedly fired several shots during the argument, striking an occupied residence.

No injuries were reported.

Police responded to the call around 12:20 a.m. Friday. Detectives were able to identify Thompson as the suspect who fired the weapon, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody just before 6 p.m.

Thompson was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility, where he is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
