SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

The Beau Rivage is in the middle of a big burger battle and they need your help.

It's the James Beard Foundation's Blended Burger Project, and chef Kristian Wade is the only chef from Mississippi participating in the contest. He's also the only chef in the nation from MGM Resort competing as well.

The Blended Burger project aims to make burgers better by blending chopped mushrooms with ground beef. The goal is to make a better tasting and more nutritious burger. Adding mushrooms to any kind of meat cuts the calorie, fat, and sodium content of the burger.

Chefs that compete encourage their customers to post photos of their blended burgers on social media and vote for their blended burger online.

Click here to vote for which burger you think should win the competition.
