Orange Grove Under Pressure

Over the next few days, public works crews in Gulfport will carefully monitor the water pressure, to see if it reaches dangerously low levels. If it does, the city may have to order mandatory restrictions on water usage. Right now, the city is asking residents to voluntarily stop watering their lawns and washing their cars, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

WLOX News drove through some neighborhoods, north of I-10, where the water pressure has dropped dramatically over the past few weeks. We saw plenty of water sprinklers, but most of them were "off". One reason, may be because it actually rained for a while today. But even if it wasn't raining, some residents say they're willing to cut back on their water usage, to help ease the pressure problem.
