HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Officials are responding to wreck on Highway 90 in Hancock County.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a 2000 Toyota Tundra was driving in the wrong direction in the westbound lanes of the highway around 3 p.m. when the driver crashed into a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer.
The driver of the Mountainner was taken to an area hospital by ambulance. The front and back right passengers were airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A fourth passenger was not injured. Only the front passenger was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Tundra refused medical treatment and was charged with driving under the influence causing serious injury.
