Former spring break promoter charged with tax evasion

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - An argument led to the arrest of former spring break promoter Keith Lavell Brown over the weekend. Biloxi police Lt. Chris De Back said Brown was wanted by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department for three counts of tax evasion.

De Back said Biloxi police officers responded to complaints of the argument on Beach Blvd. just before midnight Sunday. Officials said the argument was over a civil disagreement.

Brown, of Moss Point, was identified as one of the subjects involved in the argument. Police checked for warrants on both men, and that's when it was discovered Brown, 45, was wanted by the sheriff's department, De Back said.

Brown was arrested without incident and taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. His bond was set at $30,000.
