BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Biloxi man is in trouble with the law for allegedly head-butting a police officer Monday evening.

Sgt. O’Neil Adams, with the Biloxi Police Department, said officers were called to a business in the 12000 block of Lorraine Rd. just before 5 p.m. to perform a welfare check on Clifton Ray Moran III.

Adams said Moran became confrontational when responding officers confronted him and head-butted one of the officers in the face. The officer required minimal medical treatment for a busted lip.

Moran was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and charged with simple assault on a law enforcement officer. His bond was set at $25,000.
