The Biloxi Shuckers made 6 errors in the first two innings and that opened the flood gates for the Biscuits at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
The Biscuits led 11 to 1 after two innings and before the night came to an end, Biloxi would tie the 1971 Southern League record for errors with nine.
Second baseman Angel Ortega gave Biloxi a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with his lone hit in four trips to the plate. He also scored 2 runs. Mauricio Dubon was 2-for-5 and scored a run.
Former Picayune High and Ole Miss standout Braxton Lee belted 4 hits in 5 trips to the plate, with an RBI and scored two runs for the Biscuits. Shortstop Michael Russell was 2-for-4 with 3 runs scores and 3 RBI.
Justin O'Connor launched a grand slam in the bottom of the first that propelled Montgomery to a big lead early.
Angel Ventura pitched 2 innings, gave up 6 hits and 11 runs, none of the runs were earned. He suffered the loss. Forrest Snow, Taylor Scott, Nick Ramirez, and Matt Ramsey all saw action on the mound for the Shuckers.
Edwin Fierro pitched one inning, but picked up his first win on the season for Montgomery.
A crowd of 1,764 attended the game.
The Shuckers dropped their second game of the season, after opening the 2017 campaign with 3 straight wins.
Biloxi will have an off day on Tuesday before the season opener at MGM Park 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.
