'Suspicious' brush fire burning in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Crews are investigating the cause of a “suspicious” brush fire near the Grand Bear Golf Course in Harrison County.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said the fire near Hwy. 49 and West Wortham Rd. covers at least 30 acres and is still growing. Smoke can be seen billowing into the air from miles away.

Sullivan said the fire is contained to the woods at this time, and no structures are in danger.
