Officer Charged With Selling Drugs Resigns

A Biloxi police officer facing drug charges has resigned from the department.

Darrell Cvitanovich, Junior turned in his resignation last week, according to assistant Biloxi Chief Rodney McGilvary.

Since his arrest nearly three weeks ago, Cvitanovich has been on administrative leave. The 14 year veteran is charged with one count of selling ecstacy and possession with intent to distribute.

Cvitanovich is free on bond and his case is expected to be presented to a grand jury.
