GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Abundant sunshine welcomed thousands of visitors on opening day of the Mississippi Bicentennial Celebration South in Gulfport.
Students made up a good portion of the early crowd. They enjoyed interactive military exhibits and hands-on learning at various education booths.
Event chairman George Schloegel was all smiles as he welcomed visitors to this "party of the century."
