Winn-Dixie To Close Two South Mississippi Stores

Bankrupt supermarket giant Winn-Dixie is closing stores and slashing jobs and South Mississippi will be affected.

The Jacksonville-based company says it will close 326 stores in coming months, including stores in Pass Christian and Pascagoula.

The company will stop operating in four states, Tennessee, Virginia and North and South Carolina, and scale back operations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana.

The changes mean 22,000 jobs will be cut. Winn-Dixie says it will try to find buyers for the closing stores.
