HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A woman wanted for questioning in a murder investigation involving her son has been arrested on a felony drug charge.
Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said Tracey Lavern Dubose, 43, was arrested Wednesday for felony possession of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $25,000.
Dubose's son, 22-year-old Edward Earl Dubose, is charged with the murder of 17-year-old Tyjuan Johnson. He remains behind bars on a $2 million bond.
Investigators believe Edward Dubose shot Tyjuan during an argument March 20. Deputies found the teen dead in a driveway on Hopewell Ln. in the Crown Hill neighborhood.
Peterson said investigators acquired a search warrant for Dubose's home on Freemont St. the day after the murder. Deputies reportedly found marijuana in the home, and a warrant was issued for Dubose's arrest.
Peterson said investigators are still looking for Eric Lashay Boykin, Sr. for questioning in the case. Boykin is also wanted on felony drug charges.
