Stone Co. man shot in the head after dispute over money

STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A man is in the hospital, recovering from a gunshot wound to the head, after a shooting on Friday in Stone County.

Police say the shooting happened in the community of Bond on Centre Avenue around 4:45 p.m. Cortez Brown, 23, is accused of shooting 32 year old Cedric Jackson in the head after the two got into an altercation over money.

Authorities say Jackson is in intensive care at Forrest General Hospital, where is in stable condition. Brown is charged with aggravated assault. He was arrested and released on a $200,000 bond Friday after the shooting.
