HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A teenager from Louisiana was killed in a multiple vehicle accident on Highway 53 Thursday evening.

According to the Mississippi State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Brooke Posey was driving a 2005 Honda Civic when she crashed into a white, 1999 Chevrolet Silverado that was stopped to turn onto Carlton Cuevas Road.

After hitting the truck, Posey's car crashed head-on into a black, 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that was driving north on Highway 53. The black truck then crashed into a boat that was being pulled by a 2007 Toyota Tundra.

Posey was pronounced dead on the scene, and her brother was taken to an area hospital by ambulance. The driver of the black Silverado, who was ejected upon impact, was taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter to be treated for serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
