(RNN/CNN) – One upstate New York resident captured the massive accumulation of snow on his porch, as a nor’easter bears down on the entire Northeast and mid-Atlantic.

Ron Murphy, who lives in Apalachin, NY, uploaded a timelapse video to YouTube that shows 19 inches of snow piling up from 2:30 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. ET.

In the video, knickknacks like action figures, Christmas decorations and a clock are enveloped in a frozen wall.

“A persistent band of snow stayed over the house from 2:30 a.m. to this typing,” Murphy wrote on YouTube. “Both cameras are about 12 inches off the ground. At the end of the video, the snow is about 19 inches, so there is a wall of snow between the camera and other stuff.”

The storm has grounded more than 7,800 flights and disrupted the rail service between New York City and Boston.

The nor’easter also is creating wintry conditions in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia, Connecticut, Washington DC, and Maryland.
