It was announced that the No. 2 seeded Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs under head coach Vic Schaefer will have the home court advantage when they open play in the first-round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.
MSU will begin March Madness facing No. 15 seed Troy in the opening round Friday at 1:30. Troy enters the tournament with 22 wins and 10 losses.
No. 7 seed DePaul and No. 10 seed Northern Iowa meet Friday morning at 11. The winners of the two games advance to play in Sunday's second round. Both games will be televised on ESPN2.
Coach Vic Schaefer guided the Lady Bulldogs (29-4) to their best season ever, claiming the most wins in school history.
