Police: Man falls asleep in home he's robbing

HARRISON, OH (FOX19) -

Adam Fillers is spending a night in jail after police said he fell asleep while committing a robbery.

According to court records, Fillers illegally entered a home in the 100 block of Flintstone Drive in Harrison on Saturday through a side gate of the victim’s house.
 
After getting in the backdoor, authorities say Fillers went through everything in the kitchen and stole $200. On top of that, the records indicate Fillers made something to eat and fell asleep at the victim’s table.
 
The victims were home and asleep at the time according to the Harrison Police Department.
 
During an interview with police, Fillers stated he did not know how he got so messed up police said. Fillers allegedly told police he only had one beer and he knew he wasn’t in the right house.
 
The suspect had an uncapped syringe in his coat and an officer was stuck by the needle after checking Fillers coat pocket according to police.
 
Court records show Fillers has a record of theft, possession of drugs, and intoxication.
