Ole Miss remains in the SEC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament


Ole Miss posted their fourth win over the past five games Thursday night.  Deandre Burnett netted 23 points to lead the Rebels past Missouri 86-74 in Nashville.

Ole Miss (20-12) took advantage of the free throw line by connecting on 31 of 47 attempts.  Sebastian Saiz played a key role in leading the Rebels under the win column.  He had his SEC-best 20th double-double, with 14 points and 16 rebounds.  Terence Davis chipped-in 19 for Ole Miss.

Missouri ends the season with 8 wins and 24 losses.

The Rebels advance to play Arkansas in the SEC Basketball Championship Tournament quarterfinals Friday night in the late game.

What a difference a day can make?  On Wednesday Mississippi State crushed LSU, but on Thursday night Alabama coasted past the Bulldogs 75-55 to end the season for the Maroon & White.  Dazon Ingram scored 17 points for the Crimson Tide.  Corbin Collins added 14.  

Alabama led by as many as 30 points with eight minutes remaining in the game.   The Crimson Tide was red-hot from three-point range.  Collins made 4 of 6 three-point attempts.  

Tyson Carter led Mississippi State with 13 points.  The Bulldogs season comes to an end with 16 wins and 16 defeats.

Alabama advances to play South Carolina on Friday.
