PERRY COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Authorities in Perry County need your help to locate a woman who's been missing for more than a week. Glin Street has family ties to the George County area and could be in South Mississippi.
The 46-year-old was last seen by her live-in boyfriend on the morning of February 21 at their home on Forrest Lake Road in the Little Creek community of Perry County.
Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles said Street doesn't drive, and it's out of character for her to disappear like this.
"She was reported missing on Wednesday and by Thursday we had helicopters searching the area where she lived. Friday we had cadaver dogs and live search dog and a team from a missing persons organization. They did not pick up on anything at the residence," Sheriff Nobles said. "We've had a few tips called in, but we still have no idea of her whereabouts."
The sheriff said a silver alert was issued by the state because Street does have some mental health issues.
"The family is definitely cooperating 100 percent," Sheriff Nobles said. "They have printed a bunch of missing person fliers and they've been over to Basin in George County. That's where a lot of her ties are."
Street is described as having a small build. She stands about five feet tall, and weighs about 120 pounds.
