(RNN) - Little Tikes is recalling 2-in-1 Snug'n Secure pink toddler swings after receiving reports that children were hurt when about 140 seats cracked or broke.

In all, 39 children were reportedly hurt. Two suffered a broken arm, and other children received abrasions, bruises, cuts and bumps to the head, Little Tikes said Thursday in a recall posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission site.

The 540,000 recalled swings were sold for about $25 online at littletikes.com and other websites and at stores nationwide, including at Walmart and Toys "R" Us, from November 2009 through May 2014.

Consumers should stop using the swings immediately and contact the company for a refund in the form of a credit toward the purchase of another Little Tikes product, the recall notice said.

Little Tikes can be called for free at 855-284-1903 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday or reached online at littletikes.com. An online form requests information that includes a photo of the date code stamp from the back of the swings.
