JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The trial date for a former Jackson County corrections officer accused of having a sexual relationship with an inmate has been set for April 17.
A grand jury indicted Bradley Scott Davis, 36, on a charge of unlawful sexual activity in October 2016. The alleged relationship took place over a two-week period in June, Sheriff Mike Ezell said.
Davis, an 11-year veteran with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, filed a waiver with a not guilty plea on Nov. 9.
Davis is one of two former deputies accused of having inappropriate relationships with inmates at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
A grand jury also indicted Johnathan Jenkins in October. The alleged activity involving Jenkins happened over two days in September, Ezell said.
Both men remain free on $10,000 bonds.
