BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - This Saturday's 33rd Annual Krewe of Neptune parade promises to be one of the biggest the krewe has held, with 70 units rolling through downtown Biloxi.
Tuesday, 16 of the Krewe of Neptune's floats made the long journey to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center from New Orleans.
Members spent the evening organizing thousands of cases of throws. Captain Kenny Beverin said the throws will not disappoint. He said revelers can expect to see 42-inch long throws, and some even light up. Expect to also see tridents that light up.
The Honey Island Clydesdales, which were featured in this year's Budweiser ad during the Super Bowl, will grace the parade route. The fun doesn't stop there. The Gulf Coast Ghostbusters will be another exciting unit in the parade.
After the parade, there's the inaugural Krewe of Neptune after party at Hard Rock Live, starting at 7:30 p.m. No Limits, out of Salt Lake City, UT, will perform live. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com.
This year's queen is Lana Sauls, and the king is Tom Wiltz. This year's theme is Neptune Makes America Great Again.
