HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Traffic on I-10 near the Bay St. Louis exit was moving slowly in both directions for about an hour as crews worked to clear crashes in the eastbound and westbound lanes.

Officials even had to detour traffic around a crash in the eastbound lanes using the off and on ramps to keep traffic moving.

Diamondhead Fire Chief Jerry Dubuisson said Bay St. Louis asked for assistance clearing a crash in the westbound lanes around the same time the crash in the eastbound lanes happened.

While Diamondhead fire crews were responding, a motorist crashed into a ladder truck, Dubuisson said. No first responders were injured, and the driver who hit the truck had only minor injuries.

Both westbound lanes are now open.
