JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Bond will not be reduced for a man accused of abusing his three-year-old son. In fact, it has now increased because of additional charges.
Nathan McCrory was back in a Jackson County courtroom Monday morning requesting that bond reduction. But the judge decided McCrory's bond will remain at $100,000 on the original charges, and another $100,000 will be added for additional charges filed against him in January.
McCrory is facing four counts of child abuse. The case opened last year when McCrory's son, Zander, was brought to the hospital with numerous serious injuries, including a lacerated liver, a brain bleed, cigarette burns, and bruises.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department said McCrory bonded out of jail Monday.
