BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - You may notice some familiar scenery on a national TV network this weekend. That's because HGTV's super popular house hunting show, "Beachfront Bargain Hunt," is airing an episode featuring a South Mississippi location.
That location is Bay St. Louis.
"I was so ready to let the world see what we have to offer. A lot of people have no idea how great this area is," said realtor Holly Lemoine-Raymond.
Lemoine-Raymond was contacted more than a year ago by producers at HGTV about the possibility of making an episode happen. Last March, she said the timing was perfect. Now, she can't wait to share her corner of the world with a national audience.
"What's unique about this area is it's so diverse. You can sell on a golf course. You can sell on a beach. There's something for everyone here, so it's such a great place to work, because you can accommodate anybody," said Lemoine-Raymond.
As for the episode, Lemoine-Raymond worked with friends and real clients from New Orleans.
"We looked at several properties. We really did this, and they really did buy something here, and they're in the community," said Lemoine-Raymond.
Their decision and the events leading up to it are what make up the episode. According to Lemoine-Raymond, it may make for some good TV.
"There's a lot of impromptu things that happened that you can't control, and I have no idea what's going to happen on the show," she said.
The Blind Tiger in downtown Bay St. Louis is hosting a watch party for the episode's premiere this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The episode airs at 7:30 p.m. Lemoine-Raymond said there's no cost to attend, but supply donations will be accepted for the Friends of the Animal Shelter organization.
